Sponsored by the Montana Watchable Wildlife program, Alpine Artisans and US Forest Service. Alpine Artisans is an organization committed to encouraging arts in the Seeley-Swan Valley. They sponsor the annual Loon & Fish Festival over Memorial Day weekend in Seeley Lake. Other yearly activities include a Wine & Chocolate art auction in February which funds a high school scholarship and visits to local artists' studios. The Loon & Fish Festival coincides with the nesting of Loons on the lakes in the Seeley-Swan Valley, and there are guided tours given by Forest Service personnel. The two day festival is also an opportunity to buy art work by local artisans and see demonstrations of various crafts.
