Description: Now in its 38th year, the NILE Stock Show & Rodeo has a rich history of celebrating the western tradition. The Northern International Livestock Exposition (called NILE for short) is scheduled this year at the MetraPark in Billings. Gate admission is free to the public. The NILE Horse Extravaganza will offer stallion displays, Gearmakers Gallery for master craftsmen, educational clinics and seminars. NILE is a significant stop on the Road to the NFR! It is one of the last opportunities for professional cowboys to qualify for the National Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas, thus the NILE attracts most world champion competitors in all rodeo events -- not to mention prize money totaling over $100,000! The NILE includes three commercial trade shows: The General Store for cowboy collectibles and western art: Ranchers Expo for farm/ranch service and supplies and the new Gearmakers Gallery. Livestock events include breeding cattle shows and sales, Horse Extravaganza and horse sales, Three Can Tango Barrel Race and Northern Range Ranch Roping Finals.
