Description: 2005 RiverFest is an annual festival held along the scenic Missouri River in Great Falls, promising a day filled with fun, food, warm weather, entertainment and celebration. The celebration is Saturday, July 16 from 12:00pm - 9:00pm. And it's FREE to the public!Free activities will include sea plane, water skiing and kayaking demonstrations on the River; musical entertainment; an arts and crafts show and sale; skate boarding demonstrations by professional Tier II skaters at the Riverside Railyard; concessions and a beer garden; hands-on activities for all ages sponsored by local museums; children's activities including face painting, hair coloring, art projects, games and more; petting zoo and pony rides; NorthWestern Energy bucket truck rides; large equipment displays and demonstrations provided by the Fire Department, Public Works, MAFB and MANG. Reduced admission of $6.00 to the Electric City Water Park for all ages from 11:00am to 6:00pm, combines with a live K-99 remote. There is truly something for everyone. Activities designed to celebrate the arts include:.* Outdoor stage featuring live musical performances with national and local talent * Outdoor arts show and arts and crafts sale * Hands-on activities presented by several area museums * Musical entertainers along the River's Edge Trail. Directions: 2005 RiverFest will be held along the Missouri River in and near Elks Riverside Park. The Festival will go from just past Central Avenue on River Drive towards 9th street South, along River Drive between Central Avenue bridge and 9th Street bridge.
