Description: Broadwater County 'Discovery Days' - a weekend of history and hobbies! Our featured historic presentation - 'The Lewis and Clark Honor Guard' from Great Falls Interpretive Center. Lewis and Clark Honor Guard River Encampment will be held at Heritage and Indian Creek Parks, set up on Friday.Friday's activities include: Flower/Barrel/Window Decorating contest - deadline at 4:00pm; Methodist church rummage sale-afternoon; Country dance and chili feed from 6:00pm-11:00pm ($6/$4 dinner and dance, $4/$3 dance only) featuring the 'Ash-kikrs' and Cowboy Entertainment Invitational and no host bar at the Fairgrounds; Star Variety Youth Dancers performing at 7:00pm. Saturday's activities include: Fireman's Pancake Breakfast from 7:00am-10:00am; County wide historic tours - pick up buses and maps for tours 8:00am-10:00am and 1:00pm-2:00pm (call 888-732-5583 for additional information on tours); Methodist church rummage sale from 8:00am-Noon; Broadwater Historical Museum open house - displays and demos from 1:00pm-5:00pm; parade at 12:00pm; Pet show; Brick sale; Gardening and bread making; Townsend Ranger District with 'Smokey the Bear'; Skate board demo's and teen bands in Napa parking lot from 4:00pm-6:00pm; BBQ dinner and dance (Ruby Valley Boys) from 6:00pm-10:00pm ($15/$8 or $49 for family of 5 or more. Sunday activities include: Craft and swap meet from 12:00pm-4:00pm; Talent show from 1:00pm-3:00pm (entry fee is $5.00, for registration call 266-3599); Ice cream social and car show from 1:00pm-3:00pm; Lewis and Clark display; tree planting in Heritage park Call 266-3599 for additional information.
