Description: In an effort to maintain the spirit of Christmas as it used to be, interested communities and merchants throughout Chouteau County are cooperating to bring the people of Chouteau and surrounding counties an opportunity to experience Christmas festivities with an historic flair. The third annual Chouteau County Country Christmas takes place December 4th and 5th. The communities of Big Sandy, Carter, Fort Benton, Geraldine, Highwood, Loma, and Virgelle have joined forces to coordinate activities and events during the first weekend of December each year. Hopefully, we can encourage people to make Chouteau County a destination for the entire weekend. The vision of such an event became a reality over the last two years with much success and enjoyment. Each community's events will be listed on the Fort Benton web page under special events or call 1-800-426-2926 for a list of events.
