Description: Considered as Great Falls' best party the tenth annual Blues & Brews fund raiser for the River's Edge Trail will feature great food, a selection of micro brew and domestic beers and the best regional and national blues artist we can find. The event provides match funds for state and federal trail grants and funds to extend, improve an maintain the 29 mile long River's Edge Trail.Over 20 micro brews and a selection of domestic beers are available inside and in the outside beer garden in Margate Park, just north of the Convention Center. The beer garden features a high quality audio visual feed from the stage to those partying outside. Trail volunteers prepare and serve Creole stew, grilled catfish, Cajun sausage kabobs, the famous 'Blues' burgers, shrimp peel, triple chocolate brownies and more. Wine, juices, soft drinks and bottled waters are also available. A national headliner and a regional blues band are featured each year. Recent headliners include Tab Benoit, Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, Troy Rogers and Phillip Aaberg and Anson Funderburg and the Rockets. Known for its high energy blues music, the event features a large dance area in front of the stage that is well used by the crowd all night. The event runs from 5:30pm until midnight. Trial T-shirts and products are available as are CD's of the blues bands featured. This is the tenth year for the Blues & Brews and organizers are planning for the milestone to be the best yet. To find the Civic Center Convention Center from Interstate 15; take the Central Avenue West exit (turning east), after crossing the Missouri River, take a right at the Civic Center on Park Drive, the Convention Center is at the South Entrance of the Civic Center.
