Description: Winterfest 2005 will kick off Friday with a night parade followed by the annual bonfire to burn old Christmas trees. Through out the entire event will be Snow Sculpture viewing and competition. As these creations come to completion, it forms a unique activity for both the sculptures and the viewers. This first weekend also has an Arts & Crafts Fair, and the Dessertfest. The Dessertfest is a wonderful evening for adults with a wonderful cross section of desserts served with wine, beer, coffee and punch. For entertainment, there is an auction as well as live entertainers.The second weekend features Dog Sled Racing and rides as well as classes of cross-country ski and snow shoe clinics. To round out all of these events, there is a lot of snowmobile activity going on with lunch on the trail and poker runs. There is also the Seeley-Lincoln 100-200 dog sled race. Contact the Seeley Lake Chamber of Commerce at 677-2880 for additional information on all events. The whole extravaganza ends in a flash - a boom with the fireworks reflected in the snow!
